![]() I chose to go deeper into the topics that are of the most interest to me, and that I feel are the most significant, technologically. But, honestly, it's not possible to cover everything in a huge OS release like Tiger to the depth that I covered, say, metadata or Quartz. ![]() If your favorite topic ended up in the grab bag, I apologize. Think of them as the Ars equivalent of Perl's lightning talks. It'll contain a series of brief (I hope) trips into individual applications and features, one after the other with no real transitions between them. ![]() This article is in the home stretch now, but there are a lot of little things that I'd like to talk about briefly. I encourage you to read it because I'm certainly not going to cover them all. ![]() There's even a page that actually lists all 200+ new features. (I know, I know.) Apple touted Panther as having "over 150 new features." Tiger apparently has " 200+." You can easily spend a day just reading through the Mac OS X section of Apple's web site. Tiger is a big OS release, and this review could go on for ever.
